The Tao of sports

When exercising strenuously, a type of concentration is needed to pay attention to here and now.

This type of mindfulness relives the brain from the constant worry of meeting high expectations, role playing, and other distress inducing thought patterns.

Although stress is put on the physical self, organs and other bodily functions are made to perform at peak efficiency.

Cleansing the body of accumulated toxins through the sweat glands and respiratory systems.

The mind now tries to use the energy available at the most optimum rate, and reaches a type of concentration where a total flowing with the forces of nature is achieved.

Like some cosmic juggler, using gravity and wind, changes in terrain, balance of center, and internal muscular power, to achieve an almost effortless state of movement.

This is the true expression of one's ego- less achievement .

Such harmony sends feelings of total purpose, a joyous regrouping of basic elemental forces, beyond any materialistic or other society induced wants.

As you focus on the movement lose your mind and come to your senses.

Live with vigor
