Want to cut your risk for diabetes by a third?
And therefore all other ailments that stem from this, and shorten our quality and duration of life?
Well sometimes things seem simple but are really difficult, this is just such a case.
Experts say just cut out red meat( beef, pork) and seek out healthier choices.
But if you've been raised in the Midwest and spent your whole life eating lots of read meat and have been told, for example, beef it's what's for dinner, then this whole thing becomes a lot more complicated.
So let's look at this thing with an open mind, as did the two medical doctors who were raised in western NewYork on farm where they also raised beef.
Dr. T. Colin Campbell of Cornell and Dr.Caldwell Esselstyn of The Cleveland clinic, are two famed nutritionists who were actually raised in a cattle rich environment, but in seeing the illnesses born from this environment started seeking out new and startling information.

and the researchers at Pritikin.
But the truth is money rules, and the federal government subsidizes such crops as corn, which is fed to most cows instead of grass, cows are genetically meant to eat grass, and when fed corn contract toxic bacteria that create serious intestinal problems. Now they are given large doses of antibiotics to suppress their diseased states, and if we now consume this meat it's like putting us on antibiotics, which in turn will mess up and kill off our own friendly bacteria in our stomachs creating more health issues.
Do you start to see the whole picture?
Now we haven't even touched upon corn and the production of high fructose corn syrup.
I  ask you to be a label reader and see how hard it is to avoid foods that contain some form of corn, whether  corn meal corn flour corn oil, or high fructose corn syrup, you see the lobbyists of agribusiness control national farm policy.
The government spends millions to subsidize an unhealthy diet, just look around any school yard, almost 3 out of 5 kids are overweight and diabetes in our kids have skyrocketed out of control, and now for the first time our kids are expected to live shorter lives then us.
Red Meat Risks
Turns out that eating a daily serving of red meat (beef, pork, lamb) or processed meat (bacon, hot dogs, sausage, many deli meats) is a big risk for type 2 diabetes. For example, a small daily serving of beef (less than a typical burger) ups your diabetes risk 19%. Consuming a hot dog, a sausage patty, or two bacon strips every day boosts diabetes risk by 51%! The problem lies in the  preservatives, they weaken your ability to produce blood-sugar-controlling insulin, The iron in red meat, surprisingly, may do the same thing.
